Dearie Diary,

I had not been writting for a very long time... about half a month... So here I am back from China and just started schooling in Singapore Polytechnic (SP).

Let me now pen down my after-thoughts on the trip. I must say about this trip that SP and BCSS co-organised together was a very enjoyable one. It was also a beneficial trip. I gained a refreshing thoughts from the teaching the children there. I got a sense of satisfaction too. A bonus for me was the increase in FAITH. I made a lot of friends in China and other Singapore volunteers who went for the trip.

We went there with an intention to teach them conversational English and IT. I enjoyed teaching the children as they are very attentive in class. They are very eager to learn. I realised that little acts of kindness can bring great joy to a young person. The thought that I had blessed them in little ways give me a refreshing feeling.

At the end of the trip it gave all of us great delight when we saw that most student are confident in the short phrase that we taught. They show appreciation to the IT softwares and laptops that we brought for them. This gave me a sense of satisfaction.

Throughout the whole trip, it was not a bed of roses. We do met with challenges and a lot of changes that we had to adapt to. Through this process of overcoming the problems, I witnessed God's faithfulness to us. He never failed to bring solutiosn or ideas that we needed in our situation. This had increased my faith in Him.

One pacticular incident that increase my faith a lot happened to me only. On the first day of the trip, I realised that I did not bring enough money that I was supposed to bring for the accommodation and food. I did not know how much to bring for them prior to the trip. I was quite worried when I realised the situation I was in. I prayed on the plane and reminded myself what I had learnt in the church camp. It is a minor thing I learnt in the camp. "The Lord shall supply", I recalled this particular phrase that Pastor Clement had said.

Indeed He supply. My roommate happen to bring extra Singapore dallors and is willing to lend me $50. I had S$40. So after I change to the currency, I had just enough. Thank God for His gracious supply.

Not forgetting to mention is the friendships that I gained. I had a very interesting roommate. When we played "Angel and Mortal", my mortal happened to be my angel as well. The teachers from the school we went to are also approachable and hospitable. The students were friendly too. I got to know more about the people in my church (those who went for the trip) through the trip.

Thank God for the many things that he had graciously bless me with.

I guess that's all for my after-thoughts of the trip.

mmm... maybe I should write another journal entry about the new chapter in life. That is my new course in SP.
