Opportunities to Serve

Dearie Diary,
Yesterday I made a commitment to serve in the Celebration Kids (CK) programme that was run by my church (Bethesda Community, BC in short). To tell you the truth, I seriously was not sure if this is the ministry where God wants me to serve. But ever since I was touched by the sermon preached on the 21st April, I pray to God and ask for opportunity to serve.
Soon after that, I found myself considering to go to Guiyang (China) trip to teach the children there. Now I am in the team. I am in the group who will be teaching primary school student using the CK method. I then started to attend the on-going training session for the CK volunteers so as to effectively teach the children in China.
In my second session of the CK training, I was invited to join the CK team. I considered and prayed for a week. God did not seem to give me a reply on whether I should serve in CK. In the end I decided to commit for one year since the door(what I mean is opportunity) is opened.
I will continue to pray that I will be guided by God as I serve in CK. I pray that I will be a blessing to the children and that they will look to me as their friend whom they can depend on in times of trouble or doubt.
After all these major decisions I made, I can't help it but think that God wants me to touch children's life. For both opportunities to serve, I will be ministering to young children. Even before I join my current church, I was giving free tuition to young children. It was through me giving free tuition that I join BC.I pray that God's will to be shown more clearly to me.
I guess that's all for now. I shall see if I can write another entry later...
