My 1st work...

Dearie Diary,
I realised that I had not written in you for quite sometime already. Working takes up most of my time. You must be thinking that it is not very good since I may have less time for friends, family members & God. Though I must admit with that, I feel that it was full of opportunities for me to learn.
Since it is my first work in my life, I get to learn how it is like to earn an income. When I was schooling, I will sometimes take my pocket money for granted. I never understand the hard work involved for my Dad to earn money and bring up his five children. At that time, I know that it is hard work but I just don't see the amount of effort needed to get the hard work done. Now that I work, I understand how my Dad has to work everyday to earn money for the family. I come to appreciate my Dad more.
Since my post is administrative assistant, the job scope is to take calls, attend to customers & do filing. Before I started work, I feel that taking call is very easy since I had been using my home telephone talking to people. Well I have to be polite and confident when I speak on the phone. This will convince the caller that I am willing and have the ability to help them. Doing filing for my school stuff is easy but doing filing for things that I am not familiar with is difficult. Just a simple invoice, I have to be clear that it is suppose to be file into which file. Any mistake will cause a lot of inconveniences to my other colleagues.
Since this is my first time I work in a design company, I learn many terms that I never knew. These terms are used in the interior designing field. I got the opportunity to see how an idea in a designer's head gets transform into a nicely furnished house.
Since this is the first time I get to work with people much older than me, I got to experience what is it like to work together with them as a team to contribute to my company.
Finally, since so much time is spend on my work, I have to learn to use the reminding time wisely for other activities. I have to admit that I am not a wise organiser of my time. Thus I find myself spending less time with my family members and God. I know that it is not good thus I see this as an opportunity to learn to manage my time better. This will help me in future.
I shall end today's entry with a prayer to God. Dear heavenly Father, I praise you for you are indeed a mighty God! I thank You for this job that you had grant me. Thank God that this job had given me many opportunities to learn new things. Lord, I pray that this work will not stop me from spending less time with my family members and You Lord. I know that Lord Jesus had heard my prayers. I thank God for listening to my prayer. All this I pray in Jesus' name, Amen!
