The Sermon about 3 Kings...

Dearie Diary,

Today is Sabbath--a day where I go into God's presence and worshop him. I always look forward to this day as I enjoy singing praises to God. Today's praise and worshop was good! But I felt that the best is the sermon.

Our church is doing the Chronlogical Approach (CA) and that means we will start learn from Genesis to Revalation. Today we learn about the 3 kings--Saul, David and Solomon.

I learn a lot from the books of Samuel, King and Chronicles. What speak to me the MOST is this phrase that pastor remind us. "If we reject God's word, God WILL reject us too!"

This is a very scary yet true statement. I just cannot imagine what will happen to me without God... We reject God's word by disobeying His commandments for us. Saul choose to disobey time and again and God rejected him as a king (see 1 Sam 15:11).

I have this sin that God regard as a GREAT sin. It violates ONE of the 1st four commandments(1st: Have no other God 2nd: Make no idols 3rd:Misuse not God's name 4th: Forget not the Sabbath). I don't think I will say what is it until I gain victory over this sin. I pray hard that the day when I overcome this sin will come SOON.

God, thank you for the assurance of victory as you say in 1st Cor 10:13. Thank you for this sermon that make me see the SERIOUS consequence of sinning against you. Thank you for promising in Phil 4:13 that you will give me strength to overcome this sin. By FAITH, God will be with me. Amen!
